Chief Minister Stalin has announced a relief fund of Rs 1 crore for the family of Special Assistant Inspector Bhuminathan, who was hacked to death by thieves, and a government job for one of his family members.
Bhuminathan was working as a Special Assistant Inspector at Nawalpattu Police Station, Thiruverumbur Subdivision, Trichy District. He was on night patrol at Poolangudi Colony near Nawalpattu police station yesterday.

At that time, two unidentified thieves escaped on a two-wheeler. Bhuminathan chases them and catches them. During the incident, the mysterious persons hacked to death Special Assistant Inspector Bhuminathan and fled from there.
