Job Description:

Oil India Limited is seeking retired officers with a minimum of 30 years of experience in the Mines, Mineral, or Hydrocarbon sector to work as Domain Experts on a call basis. The job responsibilities and skill requirements for each expertise area are as follows:

Domain Expert (Liaisoning & Coordination)
Skill Sets:

• a) Good interpersonal, delegation, liaison, networking, and communication skills to establish effective relationships both internally and externally.
• b) Experience and knowledge of various facets of work related to Geology & Mining, Policy & Regulation of Mines and Minerals.
• c) Understanding of matters related to Petroleum Exploration licenses, Mining Leases, hydrocarbon exploration, and familiarity with Government procedures and policies.
• d) Profound knowledge of Mining Laws, Environmental Laws, Forest Laws, Ground Water, and Wild Life Regulations, along with a good understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedures and provisions for obtaining statutory clearances.

Candidates with a Master’s/M.Sc. degree in Geology/Applied Geology is preferred for this role.

Domain Expert (Planning & Monitoring – Geology)
Skill Sets:

• a) Experience in planning exploration programs and logging boreholes for mines and mineral resources.
• b) Proficiency in preparing Mining Lease applications.
• c) Expertise in strategic planning and monitoring of various projects.
• d) Liaising with the Ministry and Statutory/Regulatory agencies.

Candidates with a Master’s/M.Sc. degree in Geology/Applied Geology is preferred for this role.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the position of Domain Expert, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 30 years of experience in the Mines, Mineral, or Hydrocarbon sector.
• Educational qualification of Masters/M.Sc. in Geology/Applied Geology.
• Maximum age limit of 63 years as of 08th July 2023.

Empanelment Period:

The selected candidates will be empanelled for a period of two years. This duration allows for long-term engagements and the opportunity to contribute significantly to Oil India Limite.

Honorarium Details:

The honorarium provided to the Domain Expert on-call duty is as follows:

• Director One level below Board-EDs: Rs. 10,000/- per day.
• Two levels below Board CGM/GGMs Professor or equivalent: Rs. 9,000/- per day.
• Three levels below Board GMs Associate Professors or equivalent: Rs. 9,000/- per day.
• Four levels below Board DGMs Assistant professor or equivalent: Rs. 8,000/- per day.

Location of Work:

The primary location of work for the Domain Expert will be Jodhpur, Rajasthan. However, the selected candidate may be required to travel to any location of Oil India Limited in India, depending on the job requirements from time to time.
